Posted on July 01, 2019
T.H.E. Show 2019 asked Legacy Audio to provide a pair of the Focus SE to cover live sound for their Saturday evening concert of more than 150 attendees. Featured were the charismatic Robert B. with bluesy cuts showing off some serious chops on acoustic slide guitar, songwriters Lori Lieberman and Emiko and a new talent Dylan Gardner strumming out some fresh alternative follk. Lieberman shared the inspiration for penning "Killing Me Softly with His Song" while hyptonitized by Don McLean's "Empty Chairs" at LA's Troubadour in the '70s. She treated the crowd with her first live performance of the McLean song while accompanied by an evocative violinist. A once in a lifetime experience that was captured with a live recording to be available at a later date. Emiko rang out on the Hammond keys a few of more than 3000 songs she has authored, demonstrating diversity in vocals and improvisational creativity. A great evening.
A pair of Legacy Focus SE speakers flanked the stage as artists Emiko, Robert B, Lori Lieberman and Dylan Gardner performed a sold out show for a packed crowd.
T.H.E. Concert was recorded live to two track, courtesy of J-Corder Custom Reel to Reels. Legacy Chief Bill Dudleston as well as the "Master of Remaster"engineer Steve Hoffman assisted Jamie Hamburg with setup. Hoffman has utilized Legacy speakers on re- issues of Elvis Presley, Frank. Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
In addition to the Focus SE, Legacy also showcased the 2019 Editors’ Choice Winning Aeris and Calibre monitors in their main exhibit room.
